Dr. Sharon Markowitz
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Sharon Markowitz has been practicing optometry in Toronto for over a decade. Dr. Markowitz has developed strong patient relationships and a growing practice within the Wychwood community. Dr. Markowitz has served as a committee member for the Ontario College of Optometrists since 2015 and has established a strong network of top specialists allowing her to build a reputation among her patients and the Toronto optometric community for providing excellent patient care for the whole family.
Dr. Samuel N Markowitz
Dr. Samuel Markowitz is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto and a world know specialist and scientist in Low Vision Rehabilitation. Dr. Markowitz’s practice is strictly limited to low vision patients where he uses the most advanced methods for diagnosis and for rehabilitation interventions required by each individual case. Dr. Markowitz has a long record track in clinical practice with many achievements which earned him well deserved recognition from patients as well as from colleagues.
Dr. Monica
Daibert-Nido
Dr. Monica Daibert-Nido is a Paediatric Ophthalmologist and specialist in Low Vision Rehabilitation. Dr. Daibert-Nido graduated from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is fellowship trained at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Committee of Vision Rehabilitation of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and an assistant professor at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Program at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Toronto.
Dr. Daibert-Nido has a comprehensive practice in Low Vision Rehabilitation including children of all ages. In addition to comprehensive clinical practice Dr. Daibert-Nido is also very active in research and teaching of Low Vision Rehabilitation.
Jin Baik
Jin Baik joined the Wychwood Eyecare team as an optician in 2016. She received her certification as a Registered Optician from the College of Opticians of Ontario after graduating from the Opticianry program at Seneca College in 2005.
Jin is skilled in dispensing low vision devices, soft and hard contact lenses, as well as eyeglasses. She has great knowledge with premium products, including lenses from Essilor and Zeiss.
Suzy Melo
Suzy is our office administrator. She has been with us for over 30 years, working for Dr. Samuel Markowitz for 24 years then Dr. Sharon Markowitz since 2016. Suzy takes great pride in creating a positive and pleasant experience for all our patients and staff.
